Kristen Alipit was appointed assistant vice chancellor for campus business solutions in June 2025. She has been working at CU Boulder since March 2016.Ìý

Alipit hasÌýover 15 years of experience in higher education, including roles at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) where she led teams, managed budgets, and supported financial audits. Alipit’s experience at CU Boulder includes founding the Campus Business Solutions unit to offer shared services like procurement and budget reporting, enhancing campus-wide efficiency. She co-created the Fellows program, training approximately 100 staff in leadership skills and launched the Innovation Buffs program to foster creative problem-solving through design thinking.Ìý

Alipit holds master's degrees in management and organizational leadership from Colorado State University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Her certifications include Stanford d.school’s Design Thinking Bootcamp and facilitation for the Dialogues program and Working Effectively in Small Teams (WEST).Ìý
