Flowers Turned to Stone is a mixed media installation exploring how fleeting moments, emotions, and identities slowly solidify into something that feels fixed, and what it means when they do.

Presented by Bounce House Productions, the exhibition brings together two abstract expressionist paintings, an experimental film, and an original poem to reflect on transition: specifically, leaving college and confronting time's irreversible forward movement.

The poem grounds the work in departure and unstable memory. The paintings extend this through opposing forces; one large-scale canvas embodies uncontainable motion; a second, painted on a skateboard, anchors the work in personal history. The film moves through three states: a weighted past, an immediate present, and a fluid release — subtly inverting the title's logic to suggest permanence may emerge from the fleeting.

Together, the work holds this tension in suspension rather than resolution, inviting viewers into the space between density and openness.Ìý
