ÌýRemi Krupinski is a Boulder, Colorado–based photographer specializing in sports imagery. His photographs capture the highs, like an upset win, and the lows, like a heartbreaking loss, that create enduring moments in competition. Focusing on overlooked aspects of lacrosse, such as helmet details, pregame rituals, and player culture, his work emphasizes the small details that shape the game. Through tight framing and dynamic angles, he builds clear visual narratives within each frame. He is currently a digital intern with CU Athletics, photographing Division I sports across CU Boulder.

This project uses black-and-white, motion blur, and double exposure to emphasize the defining details of lacrosse. By removing color, black-and-white imagery highlights contrast, form, and physical contact, allowing gestures and interactions to stand out more clearly. Motion blur conveys the speed and constant movement of the game, while double exposure layers multiple actions to reflect rhythm and repetition. The work captures moments such as goal celebrations, pregame rituals, sideline huddles, and player reactions, focusing on both the intensity of competition and the quieter exchanges surrounding it. By examining these moments together, the project shows how the game is shaped not only by plays on the field, but also by preparation, communication, and shared experience off the field.
