Sponsored by theOffice of Leadership Support and Programming, Impact Grants provide seed funding to efforts that operationalize units’ capacity to advance at least one of the campus’sfive diversity, equity and inclusion goals. Initiatives are eligible for up to five years of funding that decreases with each renewal. Proposals must demonstrate a clear assessment plan, a sustainability plan and support from their unit lead.

The campus has over 30academic and administrative planning units that are engaging in efforts to create and sustain a more supportive campus where everyone matters and all can thrive. Since the program’s inception in 2023, 45 unique initiatives have received Impact Grants across 16 campus units, 25 of which have been renewed at least once.

“Aligning with our campus commitment toshared equity leadership, we especially encourage proposals that demonstrate collaboration and long-term impact,” said Alison Hanson, the grant’s program and assessment manager. “I have been inspired by the creativity of Impact Grant recipients to develop student research opportunities, build student support structures, establish community partnerships and create trainings for campus constituents.”

More information about the grant application and peer review processes, proposal writing resources and the link to submit a proposal is available on the Campus Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Resource Hub, a SharePoint site that requires an IdentiKey login.
