Since sign languages differ greatly from country to country, refugees immigrating to the U.S. have an especially difficult time adapting. Linguistics graduate student Pamela Wright is not a refugee, but, as a deaf person, she's finding ways to make their transition better.

U.S. Anti-Doping Agency CEO Tygart to deliver public lecture Feb. 21
The Sports Governance Center will host Travis Tygart, CEO of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency as this year's Distinguished Lecturer. Tygart will speak next Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. in the third floor auditorium of the CU Athletic Department Champions Center. He has been recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of "The Most 50 Powerful People in Sports," and in 2013 was named to the "Time 100" list of most influential people in the world. The lecture is open to the public and there is no admission fee.

Stop by the CU Boulder Recreation Center on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 4 toÌý5 p.m. to talk with coaches and current handlers on what it takes to be a part of the greatest tradition in all of college sports. Team members will be inside near the main entrance in their black cowboy hats. You do not have to attend to apply. Handler applications are available at and the deadline to apply is March 6.
