Crowdfunding program partners with Alternative Breaks
Coming from a family that put a high value on service,ÌýKeara Leahy was excited to learn about the Alternative Breaks programÌýa couple years back when she was seeking service opportunities on campus. Now a senior accounting major, she is about to embark on her second Alternative Break this March as a site leader. Her group is traveling to San Diego to work with several organizations to support veterans, active military and their families.
Top three CU Boulder research stories of the week: March 3 edition
This week's top research stories include a study suggesting that sedentary people can reap big health benefits from small amounts of physical movement, a look at gut microbes and their effect on our health, and new research showing that older oil and gas wells pose a higher risk for ground water contamination.

Grad student wins Bridge Builder of the Year award
Architectural engineering graduate student Jay Arehart has been awarded Bridge Builder of the Year by Bridges to Prosperity (B2P). Arehart, who was chosen from students across the nation, has led CU's B2P chapter on three footbridge builds in Bolivia.

TRANSforming Gender Conference starts March 10
On March 10 and 11, the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) is hosting the 11th annual TRANSforming Gender Conference in an effort to educate the community on issues facing gender-diverse people and encourage advocacy and support.
