Application Process
Applying to the IEC is simple
- Make sure you have the application materialsÌýlisted on this page.
- Open to all applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Application Deadline:ÌýOne (1) month prior to your first session start date
- The IEC isÌýnotÌýcurrently offering all beginning levels of English.ÌýCurrently the IEC is offering courses in intermediate to advances levels, CEFR B1 and above. Âé¶¹ÒùÔº who do not meet the minimum level may be transferred to a different program. View the minimum English proficiency levels here:

Standard Application Materials
- Completed online application form
- Application charges (all charges are non-refundable)
- Application processing charge (required): $125
- Application processing charge is waived for Pathway to CU applicants
- Bank statement, letter verifying the availability of funds (from a bank), or financial guarantee letter from a sponsoring agency
- Signed statement of financial support if you will be financially sponsored by a relative or friend
- Financial documents must be dated no more than six months from the program start date on the I-20.
- Photocopy of the identification page of your passport and any accompanying family members' passports
- Photocopy of the identification pages of any dependents who will accompany you (if applicable)
