Fall 2025 Elections

Fall 2025 Elections Are Open!

The University of Colorado Student Government (CUSG) is one of the most influential and autonomous student governments in the country. Balanced by three branches—Executive, Legislative Council, and the CUSG Court—CUSG oversees how more than $35 million in your student fees are allocated each year.

This Fall, four of the eight Representative-at-Large seats on Legislative Council are up for election. The students with the top four vote totals will be elected to serve.

Rep. at Large Candidate Biographies

Jacob Gallagher

My name is Jacob Gallagher, and I am a sophomore studying political science and international affairs from Winter Park, CO. I am running for the student government position because I believe I can continue to grow and develop the student experience at CU Boulder. As a member of greek life and one of the many ski clubs CU has to offer, I have firsthand experience in how organizations run on a day-to-day basis and what can be done to better these groups. I aim to rebuild a strong culture around CU and build back the atmosphere that students came to CU to enjoy.

Bridget Lombillo

Hi, I'm Bridget, and I know what it takes to be an effective representative of the student body. I'm a Political Science major—and a bit of a gym rat. As a future lawyer, l've been committed to advocacy, representation, and leadership throughout my academic career. I'm a natural problem-solver with a strong attention to detail. As a member of student government, I'll work to elevate your experience as a student at CU.

Tony Caruso

My name is Anthony Caruso, a fourth year studying Political Science and Women’s and Gender studies, and I want to be your Representative-at-Large on CUSG Legislative Council. As an incumbent candidate I have used my position to help establish a new Joint-Board of Off-Campus Living, formerly Off Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations, and re-establish AIR Board, which is also known as Buffs Radio 1190. I am an active member of the Greek and Boulder Communities and I look forward to an opportunity to continue my work preserving CU as one of the best places to get an education in the country.

Hadley Ahrens

I am a Colorado native sophomore studying Environmental Studies and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with a minor in Theater. Everyone who knows me knows how passionate I have been about the arts and science throughout my whole life and I am proud to have brought that passion with me to CU. In the current socio-political environment the decisions made for us seem so out of reach. I am beyond eager for an opportunity to work with CUSG to help our student body have more autonomy and make the differences we aspire for, both on campus and in our community.

Sophie Hoffmann

Hello! My name is Sophie Hoffmann, and I’m a sophomore studying business. I currently serve as Treasurer for CUSG, where I’ve authored and passed legislation to expand mental health resources, enhance campus safety, and combat hate on campus. I strongly value constituent feedback and have written multiple bills directly inspired by student input. I’m running for a second term to continue advancing these efforts—focusing on financial transparency, student inclusion, and ensuring that every Buff feels represented in CUSG’s decisions.

Kai Gomeau

Hi I'm Kai Gomeau and I'm a Junior majoring in English Literature. I grew up on the East Coast, but moved to Colorado senior year of high school. I have a strong passion for advocacy and have the ultimate goal of becoming an immigration lawyer to help people fight against a system that fundamentally pushes them down. The main reason I want to run for Representative-At-Large is to develop a stronger and more transparent connection between students, faculty, and administrative bodies. In these times, it is so easy to feel unheard or overlooked, and the most important thing to me is changing that. My top priority is ensuring that every member of the community feels listened to and represented. To do this, I will host open meetings where anyone can come to me with their thoughts, concerns, or ideas. Whether they be how money is spent, broader university policies, or everyday campus issues, I promise to make sure that YOUR voice is heard.

Cole Beatty

I'm a Political Science and Economics transfer student from MSU Denver who's passionate about law, policy, and civic engagement. Coming to CU Boulder as a transfer has given me perspective on how challenging it can be to find your place and voice on a large campus. I’m running for Representative-at-Large to advocate for a more inclusive, transparent, and student-centered approach to how our fees and resources are used. My goal is to help every student, whether they're new or returning, to feel represented and able to shape the CU experience and the campus around them.

Roshni Krishnan

Hey buffs! Are you feeling like you're ready to take your experience at CU to the next level? My name is Roshni Krishnan, and I would love to make this a possibility as your Representative at Large, allowing all voices to be heard clearly. It's so much easier to feel disconnected and less satisfied with the college experience nowadays because of new technologies, but I want to make campus more connected again by making more spots online and in person to reach out with YOUR suggestions about how we can improve. I believe that change is with the people, and we can all work together to create active change. And remember, GO for RO!
