  • Description: This is a basic safety training for custodial staff members and is offered in English and Spanish. Trainees should be able to recognize hazards associated with their jobs and how to protect themselves from those hazards. Additionally, they should know when to ask for help from EH&S or a safety representative

  • Description: Required training for all personnel enrolled in the Respiratory Protection program. Covers information on selection of the correct respirator for the working environment, the limitations and capabilities of the respirator, proper procedures for maintenance and storage, how to check for proper fit each time the respirator is put on, and the requirements of the Respiratory Protection Program.

  • Description: Operation and Maintenance training is designed to give employees who may potentially impact asbestos-containing materials as part of their daily job duties, the training to do so safely. Topics included health hazards of asbestos, dust control, waste management, and PPE to name a few.

  • Description: The training covers fall protection equipment safety and inspection. It is required for anyone responsible for conducting annual inspections of fall protection equipment.

  • Description: This is a general safety training for the CU Police Department. Trainees should be able to recognize hazards associated with their jobs and how to protect themselves from those hazards.Ìý Additionally, it covers how EH&S can be a resource for CUPD.

  • Description: This training covers safety topics related to working from heights and using fall protection equipment. This training is required for individuals that work at heights 6ft or greater above working surfaces and for individuals who use or have the potential to use fall protection equipment.

  • Description: This is a basic safety training for CU staff. Trainees should be able to recognize hazards associated with their jobs and how to protect themselves from those hazards. Additionally, they should know when to ask for help from EH&S or a safety representative.

  • Description: Required radiation safety training for users of sealed radioactive sources at the University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado Springs campuses.

  • Description: Training required for anyone using of sealed sources of radioactive materials in a teaching laboratory class offered at the University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado Spring campuses.

  • Description: Required training for all users of unsealed radioactive materials on the University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado Spring campuses.

  • Description: Required radiation safety training for users of x-ray generating machines at the University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado Springs campuses

  • Description: Chemical Safety and Hazardous Waste Generator Training provides essential guidance on the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals in the workplace. The training covers key topics such as proper labeling, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), spill response procedures, and regulatory compliance under RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act).

  • Description: Onboarding Training introduces new employees to the essential policies, procedures, safety protocols, and workplace expectations necessary for a successful start. This training ensures that all staff are informed about their roles, responsibilities, and available resources, helping them integrate smoothly into the organization and maintain a safe, productive work environment.

  • Description: Laser Awareness Training for Class 3R and Lower provides users with essential knowledge on the safe operation and potential hazards associated with low- and moderate-power lasers. This training covers laser classifications, basic beam and non-beam hazards, proper use of control measures, and applicable safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a safe working environment.

  • Description: Laser Safety Training for Class 3B and Class 4 Lasers is required for individuals who work with or around high-powered lasers. This training provides in-depth instruction on laser hazards, control measures, proper use of personal protective equipment, and regulatory requirements to ensure safe operation and prevent serious injuries such as eye or skin damage.

  • Description: Optional training for research personnel who would like toÌýlearn the basics of using an autoclave.

  • Description: Required training for anyone working with biological materials and is listed as a member of a lab with an active IBC application.

  • Description: Training module to familiarize the Principal Investigator and lab personnel with the regulations, different shipping categories; and proper labeling and packaging of biological materials.
