Buff Venture Fund
The Buff Venture Fund is not part of the University of Colorado, nor is the fund managed, operated or controlled by the university.
The Buff Venture Fund is a private venture capital fund that invests in early-stage Deep Tech and Life Science companies affiliated with CU Boulder. Venture Partners has a formal partnership with Buff Gold Ventures to grow startup companies and identify investment opportunities collaboratively. Venture Partners connects CU Boulder startups to the fund for strategic guidance, mentorship and potential investment. 
The Buff Venture Fund invests at all stages, beginning with the seed stage, and continues to invest through the lifetime of the company.
To be eligible for consideration for investment, a company must:
- include at least one founder who is a CU Boulder faculty member, student, staff or alum
- OR have licensed intellectual property from the Unviersity of Colorado.
